Q: Can the cup get stuck or disappear inside of me?

First of all, the cup can't disappear inside you, but it can move up slightly. If you have problems reaching the cup, the first thing to do is relax and breathe. If the menstrual cup has worked its way higher inside the vagina, it's important to relax the muscles as tensing up will only make removing it more difficult. Try squatting and use your abdominal muscles to push the cup downwards until you can reach the stem of the cup. Pull down gently on the stem until you can reach the bottom of the cup and grasp it with your fingers and pinch it to release the suction, and gently ease it out. Remember that the cup can’t get lost in the vagina; it will ultimately slip down by force of gravity.

Q: If I lay down will the blood run back into my uterus?

A: No, it's very unlikely that the blood will flow back into your uterus - even if you're upside down:) You may have noticed the relatively thick consistency of the flow so it doesn't slosh around inside you, it simply stays in the cup.

Q: Can I pee while the cup is inserted?

A: Yes, the cup doesn't collect your urine. The cup is inserted into the vagina and your urine comes from the urethra so the 2 doesn't interfere and you don't have to remove the cup when you pee.

Q: I am a virgin can I use a menstrual cup?

Q: Is it safe to use the cup for 12 hours?

A: Yes, our recommendation of max 12 hours use is based on advice from gynecologists. Once the cup is inserted correctly, no external factors or free oxygen reach the accumulated flow, and therefore it stays bacteria free and the risk of infection is minimal. In fact, you’re more likely to get an infection from bacteria on your hands that was transferred via the menstrual cup than you are to get an infection from the menstrual cup itself. The best way to avoid getting an infection is to wash your hands before putting it in and removing it.

Who else appreciates that they use red liquid instead of blue. Normalizing periods and not making it some kind of shameful unnatural thing is much appreciated. Its not gross guys.

Don't mind me, just a guy who came here to get educated how menstrual cups work. After watching the video i must say, i could recommend this to my partner, friends who has problems with leaking pads, or to a daughter (if i have one). To all the boys who came across this video, don't be ashamed to educate yourself how women's body work :)

Hi, guys! I just finished my first menstruation with the cup. I'm 17 and never used a tampon. At first it was a bit complicated to insert it, but after you realize in which direction you should put it, you're all good haha. The first few times it was a bit hard, after that it was so easy. And it's soo comfortable, you don't even feel it.

Thanks for actually using a red liquid.. Instead of the weird blue liquid you always see in The blue liquid comes off as if having a period is a shameful thing that should be hidden.

To all those who can't insert it properly or who have problem opening it inside-
Sharing my experience-

1st day of using (I wasn't on my period, just tried inserting the cup to practice) - insertion was smooth as I have used a tampon before.. I thought that it opened up, but later when I removed it, I realised that it actually didn't.

2nd day of using - Both insertion and removal were smooth and I thought that it opened up at that time but a few days later I figured out that it still didn't.

3rd day of using (got my periods) - Didn't open up but there was no leaking as the flow was very very less.

4th day of using (2nd day of periods) - At this time I thought that I was used to the cup and thought that it had been opening up inside me. But, on this day the cup was leaking.. that's when I realised that it hadn't been opening properly.

5th day of using (3rd day of periods) - There was no leaking and finally figured out the right way of insertion. Realised the following things-
1. Previously when I used to remove the cup by pulling the stem, it used to come out very easily as no suction was created. But on this day, it wasn't coming out easily which means it has been inserted properly.
2. Earlier I didn't feel the base of the cup rounded when it was inside me but on this day, I finally felt that round part which again means that I opened up as there were no folds.

So, that's what I felt I did right during insertion on the 5th day of using it-
After doing the punch down fold, I held the cup from the middle but slightly closer to the upper part and then inserted it in. When it was about halfway inside such that the folded part was in, I stopped for a while. The rounded base of the cup was still out. So I very gently held the base and pushed it in. During this process, I actually felt the cup opening inside. Now to further make sure that it opened up, you can go about the base with your finger. You'll feel the rounded base very very prominently. Now just push it in further by holding the base so that you don't feel the stem sticking out. Then, I also tried to pull the stem but the cup didn't start slipping out easily. (You may FEEL that the cup is coming out, but it is actually not. You may feel it because of its MATERIAL, but you would be able to feel the actual resistance so that you know it doesn't come out.)

So hope all of this helps, all the best!

I'm a male but I was curious on how this thing works. Most other videos don't explain this much. Thank you. Now I know.

I was so skeptical at first. I thought it would be messy, uncomfortable or come loose and I would bleed everywhere but seriously this is the BEST thing I've ever bought. I can wear white pants and not even worry about it. You can't feel it, I dont have to leave dirty tampons in the garbage can at work, I dont have to worry about running out of tampons...the list goes on. The best thing is I dont have to bolt for the washroom when I wake up. I have a very heavy flow so as soon as I wake up, it just gushes out. I use to soak through a pad in 20 mins, tampons lasted maybe an hour. I LOVE my menstrual cup and I will never use a pad or tampon again.

Mensural cups are under appreciated. I started using it last month and what a Hassel free period days has it been. The best part of using these cups are you do not have to worry about disposing used pads.
At first it's uncomfortable and feels difficult to insert and take it out but once you get used to it it's haven
