The main points in video : beating your man in transition, setting screen and coming off screens, offensive rebounds, relocations, teammate engages defender leaving you open, try to be in eyesight of teammate so they can see you, be ready, attack close outs.

Qualities of a great shooter: work on every footwork, being able to drift on shot, ball dip is ok, fluid timing, making shots off bad passes,

mentality: create your own confidence, enter the flow state, shot selection, detach yourself from results.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:

00:00 🎯 *Players who are considered "shooters" are those who confidently hunt for shots on the court and make them consistently.*
01:27 🏀 *Shooters excel at finding open spots, taking advantage of opportunities, and strategically positioning themselves for open shots, especially during transitions.*
02:53 🔄 *Creating space is crucial for shooters; maintaining optimal spacing from defenders and teammates enhances the chances of receiving a pass and making successful shots.*
04:16 🤲 *Being ready, confident, and in an athletic position when open increases the likelihood of a shooter receiving the ball and making successful shots.*
04:59 🎯 *Shooters should be comfortable shooting with at least a light contest, emphasizing the importance of adapting to imperfect situations.*
06:26 🦶 *Mastering various footwork, including imperfect footworks and drifting, is essential for shooters to adapt to different game situations.*
07:49 ⏱️ *Shooters leverage the drop of the ball, timing, and the ability to shoot off bad passes, showcasing adaptability and versatility in shooting situations.*
08:46 💪 *The psychological aspect plays a significant role in shooting success, with confidence, the ability to enter the Flow State, and proper shot selection being key elements.*
09:57 🤔 *Detaching from the outcome of individual shots, good or bad games, and staying even-keeled is vital for a shooter's mental resilience and long-term success.*

Mental is huge for me. Also making sure I get shots up on days I’m not playing, just warming up ain’t enough. Makes all the difference.

Great tutorial as always! Man i really think the mental part is most important i used to wanna play proball overseas so bad and since im p short i dedicated my self to wake up every 4am find open gym with empty baskets and would shoot for 8-12 hours a day 6 days a week and i was a great shooter but wanted to perfect my form i always tweak my form tryna find perfect form and in games i would sometimes get inconsistent when i think too much. Then i had few major injuries gave up playing pro overseas so i also stopped caring about my form and little details. Ironically i shoot better than ever because i stopped caring about forms and misses and i shoot without thinking and dont care about missing shots and think next shot always going in. Key is though be confident dont be selfish have same confidence for teammate as well

I have played 8 of the 22 games of my season. I am actually in 40%FG, 60% FT and i haven't took a three yet (i play PF). I am more of a defense and pass but i am trying to fix that nd i think this site can help me. I will come back in one or two months.

Very great tutorial, helped me take a few things to consider more and add to my game. It's just that the biggest issue for me is my team mates. Sure, I can get open and make the shot but my team mates does not give me the ball. It's not like I'm not seen, but rather they aren't willing to make the pass. It pisses me off so I added a few isolation moves to produce quality points but it ain't enough to translate our team to be a winning team.

How comes you put Bamberg-Kaunas footage from the '17-'18 season in your 2023 video?
Great Video, of course, just curious!

Nice that you put Artūras Milaknis from Kauno Žalgiris. How did find out about him?

Thank you! I watched this right before my game, I'm not a score first player so I don't average that many points, I had the most points I've ever had with a three and two floaters. Thank you!

times that I brick literally everything. It's very hard to play when It's the only thing I know. Because I was trained in highschool to be a pure shooter. I'm thinking of investing in prescription goggles (I take of my glasses when playing). Anyway, I hope this video helps.

Very nice video! The 3rd one is very tough, mentality. Some people including myself, when I am hot or have a good start, I keep making shots. But when I am cold or a bad start, feel like it is gonna be an off day. How do I adjust?
