please please PLEASE do your research on what products are good for your skin type and remember the food you eat and how much water you drink is a MASSIVE part of your skin’s health. i have genetically clear skin but i do a ton of research on skincare. my brother had cystic acne for years since middle school until he started eating better, and his skin cleared like magic. just know everyones skin is different and not everything will work for you!

I’m 33 and have been using several Korean skincare products lately and have noticed an improvement in my overall skin hydration and texture. I do think the “glass skin” routine is a bit too high maintenance for the average person though. The main things that you need are a cleaning balm/oil, gel cleanser, serum, spf moisturizer for daytime, and moisturizer for night. Toners, essences, and masks aren’t really necessary unless you just like to use them. Retinol is great but you cannot use it with certain things like salicylic acid. Diet, exercise, adequate sleep, and water intake are factors that effect your skin too.

It is a well-explained video. I am 49 and I have a glass skin. People comment on my skin whenever I meet people. I use special Korean skincare products, but what is the most important is that consistency is the most important in addition to healthy diet, sufficient sleep, and frequent consumption of water.

Some drying ingredients to look out for are denatured alcohol, ethanol or just simply alcohol, however, there are some alcohols that are good for your skin such as cetyl alcohol. Also look out for glycerin in products! It's a really good ingredient especially for moisturising. Also beware of fragrances like linalool if you have sensitive skin it could be irritating. Also for people of colour some sunscreens could leave a white cast mostly mineral ones, I think the ingredient that causes this is the colouring of zinc oxide. Also if you want to use a mineral sunscreen make sure it uses non nano zinc or titanium oxides as if it isn't non nano it can absorb into the blood stream which of course isn't good. Just some tips for everyone! Have a good day <3

if you're using serums of active ingredients such as salicylic acid, please start with a low concentration and gradually use a higher concentration! starting with a high concentration for the first time can irritate the skin and make it more sensitive! just a little tip!

The easiest way to achieve "glass skin" is to use retinol or tretinoin. I'm 30+ and after I started using retinoids my skin looks much better than it was 10 years ago

Hi! I think you got something wrong at 1:19 You're supposed to use a CLEANSING OIL for the double cleansing, not an OIL CLEANSER (and yes, there is a difference haha) 💕

[edit]
I just found out that you can actually use an oil cleanser to double cleanse haha. But you can also use micellar water or a cleansing balm 👍

I need an acne version of this… me and also many teenagers struggle with acne, so it would be very helpful to have a version of this that is good for acne
