If you don't see the checkbox in Windows 10 go to Settings-Accounts-SignIn Options and turn off the setting "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device". That will bring back the option as shown in the video. For Windows 11 go to Settings-Accounts-SignIn Options and turn off the same check box. It is under Additional Settings.

not work for me, I got Duplicate Username at Login i don't know why maybe because my windows10 is Enterprise edition i checked the local user folder for duplicated username find nothing only me and administrator

I corrected the problem of the checkbox not being shown. After completing the process I now see the flash where the password is automatically entered. But then I get: "We are unable to connect right now. Please check your network and try again later." I am still able to get in after making some added clicks and still entering the password, but it is now worse than initially.

BTW if you dont see "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device" it because you need to be signed in with a Microsoft account, not a local account

Used to use this method, after update 2004 this doesn't work anymore

I did not put password onto my home computer, then the Windows always login without prompting for password. Windows 10 Pro x64 ver 2004, two user, all administrator, all without password since installation of windows. I also don't log in into microsoft account.

I just wanted to access a computer to do a simple and personal tasks without hacking into the computer that was available but required a password so this didn't help me at the moment. But did give me more understanding on custom programming for access.

My computer is blocked and I don’t have a flash drive to reset the password. I cannot log in because it doesn’t even let me input an username. Isn’t there a way to use it as a guest? My computer model is ENVY HP

You must be a Jedi, because I was just thinking about how to login to my PC without a password recently. I want to do some benchmarking of my startup times with an HDD and then again after cloning onto an SSD, and those benchmarks will be more accurate without time wasted of entering a password.

Now I can easily _turn off_ the password requirement, run my benchmarks, then _turn it on again_ when done.

I disabled all services and restarted my computer to try to fix windows update service not working and now when enter my password on initial bootup it says password incorrect. The "forgot my password" and "sign-in options" don't work either. Is there a way to bypass this with a generic password?

Pity it doesn't work for me. I just get an error Unable to connect to network message and I have to Okay out and the pin sign in appears. In the bottom left I now have two different account options one of which does not recognize the pin at all and keeps rejecting it. I followed all your simple instructions but get a completely different result. I'm really fed up putting this password in multiple times while computing. After all, It's my computer and I think I should have complete control of it not MS. Anyway, thanks for trying.
