As promised here is Dr. Mike Israetel talking all about programming and hypertrophy. Normally you see talk of programming for strength...but HOW do you organize your training for SIZE? Here are 5 basic rules (it is a little long but totally worth it).

After this, we'll specifically go into one muscle group and how to train it. What would you guys like to see!?

He blinks so hard because he's taking his blinks to failure.

I just wanted to take a moment to comment about how grateful I am to Omar for continuing to drop real fitness knowledge. I appreciate these videos man. It seems like every "fitness" youtuber only vlog their lives, they just want fame, and they eventually stop caring about giving their viewers fitness knowledge. Thanks Omar! 🙏

If you're commenting about the hair, you should just quit your gym membership, these guys are dropping so much knowledge.. be humble

1. Volume - 10 to 25+ sets
2. Intensity - 60 to 75% 1RM (7-15 reps)
3. Progression - Up volume to somewhere between lowest amount for growth and maximum before overtraining
4. Frequency - 2 to 4 times a week... upwards of six times a week if your brand new
5. Periodization - weeks of hypertrophy, deload...continue till plateau... change variety for muscle groups and go till plateau... do 3-5 weeks of strength training for maintenance and reset (half or less on sets and 4 to 6 rep range).

Holy shit OMAR, that vid was great! This one vid taught me JUST as much as 9-10 months of personal research... makes me wish this came out sooner :/

Even though the points raised here aren't necessarily anything new at all, in fact it's info you can find all over YouTube on bodybuilding channels it's explained so well here and it's so concise that everything makes sense. Honestly #1 video for bodybuilding principles

id be interested in him expanding on his philosophy for keeping muscle during a cut. Especially intensity vs volume.

Omar, I've been following your channel for about 2 years now. I just discovered Mike Israetel because of your channel. What an inspiration. Both of you. Keep up the good work and the content. I recently have been starting to create my own content because of you and other fitness channels that I follow.
