She probably read or heard someone talk about the book Freakonomics. The idea was because of Roe v Wade legalizing abortion, lesser and lesser people are born into adverse families. Studies have said that people that experienced adverse childhood, are more likely to commit crime later in their lives. Thus, because of abortion lesser potential criminals were realized.

However, this is where the moral conundrum lies. Abortion was being used as a form of birth control which is WRONG no matter how you think about it. People, both men and women, should bear the responsibility of bearing a child, considering that they had consensual sex.

IT IS WRONG TO KILL A CHILD. CONCEPTION HAPPENS WHEN A SPERM FERTILIZES AN EGG.
