my friends dad bought me an orange dsi for christmas 2010 and its probably the greatest gift someone has ever given me. nowadays the camera and microphone apps arent really worth using but they let me document a section of my childhood without me even realising it at the time

I still own a red dsi, tbf it still works very well considering how old the console is. I loved the camera because at the time I only had a Nokia brick and the camera was rubbish. I’m more glad I went for the dsi so I can look back at the memories that I created. I never went online or used it to its full potential though.

I bought a dsi and a couple of games at a thrift store for five dollars. I played around with it and put it away and forgot about it. I picked it up again recently and the battery was still charged. Five years later! They don't make stuff like this anymore.

I still got my small light blue DSi and I've been ordering some games to play on it, and I actually found my sisters old DS Phat in her closet in a carrying case recently along with some games that were in the zipper compartment of the case that interested me 😊

Its still solid. You can listen to music, take photos, play great games, and NOSTALGIA. Yes i was born after the 3ds. Yes i love the dsi.

the most annoying thing about stuff that's thought of as retro is when i get into them as a complete newcomer, whenever anyone talks about them one third of the video is going on and on about how retro and nostalgic a given thing is without actually talking about what the thing is. i mean at least you have the other two thirds of the video and it can be a lot worse but yeah this is a thing i repeatedly run into in this fiekd

This is the one to buy in 2023, cheaper than a ds lite, no flashcart required. Can play gba games well with homebrew. Yet people still buy the ds lite over it.

Despite it obviously being inferior to the newest games we have currently available in 2023, I still wish to buy this.

Hopefully tomorrow, I will be able to buy one for 55. I’m praying it’s in good condition though. But we’ll see. I wish my childhood consisted of older consoles. Those looked so much fun.

I have the exact same dsi and I am thinking of selling it in the year we are in now. How much would it be worth today? There are a few dents in my dsi and the volume buttons don't work but the games and the dsi itself still work just fine.

I had 4 different DS Lites and LOVED them in my childhood… until my sister got a DSi and I was JEALOUS. Really wanna pick one up on eBay and relive my childhood! I miss 4th and 5th gen Pokemon games lol
