I started going grey at 11 and was completely grey by 14. I dyed my hair for years but now (I’m 54) I can’t be bothered. My mum was the same so genetics certainly does have a lot to do with it.

Not that I'm suggesting this as a treatment, but my uncle needed chemotherapy for his non-Hodgkins lymphoma. He had male pattern baldness and grey hair. When it grew back in it was brown, wavy and covered his entire head for the remainder of his life. Which, by the way was for another 12 years until his 73 year. He also remained in remission for that entire period.

I'm not worried about gray hair, I just want to keep my hair. We need to fix balding asap

Since my 80 year old mother, who suffered a pulmonary injury a few years ago, started oxygen therapy using a concentrator, nearly all her hair has turned from grey/white to its original black.

My stylist didn't believe in reversible graying until she saw it in me about a year ago. My gray comes and goes and now I've got a real clue as to why. I take several grams of lecithin per day when I feel I need acetylcholine support, which isn't always. Lecithin's amino acid is - ta-daa - l-methionine, and lecithin is the only isolated source of l-methionine that I've ever taken. (As a stand-alone supplement >500mg or so, it can cause unpleasant mood alteration phenomena e.g. "unreality", deja-vu, etc.; never had this from lecithin.) Thanks so much for this clip ... this is the first real clue to this mystery that I've seen, and the first public acknowledgement that I'm not actually imagining "outgrowing" my gray hair. (Now is it also possible that l-methionine may revive dead follicles? Because it's not just my gray that comes and goes ... it's also the little pie of barenness on my scalp that fluctuates too.)

My hair started to go back to brown from gray a few years ago. It started at the back of my head, where I couldn't see it. A few people commented about it. Gradually the color has come forward toward to the front, and dark hair is beginning to grow in my bangs.

I remember seeing my first couple of gray hairs a few days before turning 28!!!!
Glad that at 32 I just have like 3 more, but still!! I see many of you saying you are fine with them, but not all of us would look their best with gray hair.

At 68, I was tired of the dyeing process and worried about the effect on my scalp as well as crown hair loss. So I quit coloring and started taking copper and kelp supplements. My silver came in so beautifully that I started getting weekly compliments from my husband, family, friends, and strangers. My hair got very dark in the back and shiny silver on top, so I always get questions about where I have my balayage done.

My hair strands go from grey to black to grey again. I have advanced rheumatoid disease so I always wondered what caused it to go from grey to black again and then back to grey

Take acid folic and after a few months you will start noticing some hair back to natural colour. Have being use for some years and it works doesn't stop all the white hair but mostly and is a procedure that takes times so no rush

I had gray hair in my beard at age 25, and then it reversed back to black at age 27. My diet changed and my overall stress levels decreased… So yes I can confirm

I was a redhead. Emphasis on "was." I started going blond in my 30's. Today my hair is white, but glows gold in the sunshine. My mustache is still red though, but not my beard which is fairly white. I look at least 10 years younger if I shave my face.

This may be stupid but I wonder if these treatments got more advanced, people could choose their hair color? I’d love to have red hair but I don’t want to bleach my brown lol

I've seen videos and articles on this a few times now, and every single time you find a ton of commenters loudly replying, "YEAH WELL I LOVE MY GREY HAIR AND YOU CAN'T TAKE IT AWAY FROM ME." And it's like, okay? Then this isn't for you? Some people would like to keep the color in their hair—if that's not you, then just carry on with your life.

A big trick among catalase enzyme containing supplements is that they contain green superfoods, namely CHLORELLA. The catalase is digested and therefore does nothing similar to when taking collagen. And if you want to help with re growing hair follicles go with Fucoidan which is a very safe stem cell activator, aside from using Neosporin to combat folliculitis and keep the toilet lid down to help prevent that.

My hair has been pure silver since I was 17 - was originally black. I see nothing to reverse and I love my hair.

I have seen white hair reversed with chemotherapy, when a certain old (70+) professor at the medical school developed leukemia he received chemotherapy. He then lost all of his thick white hair as a chemotherapy side effect (he was cured by the way). When his hair grew back it had the rich dark brown coloration of his youth (he went on to live into his early 90s). Presumably stem cells replenished his hair as well as those for his different white cell populations.

I just googled L-methionine and a study stating that it could potentially cause Alzheimer’s-like neurodegeneration made me change my mind about it. I think I’m fine with getting grays. Thanks!

I read about a very similar method involving getting rid of that accumulated hydrogen peroxide. This was at least 10 years ago. I saw exactly two articles on the topic. The first one talking about this revolutionary breakthrough that was going to eliminate gray hair.

The next mention, not long after, was that the formula had been sold to L'Oréal, who makes hair color.

Of course, that was the end of that.
