Sixth reason: Jonathan Sewell's reviews. I live in the Chicago area; last year your reviews changed the mind of a 90% for sure Subaru buyer to buying a Mazda CX5. My only issue hind sight is whether or not I should have leased a Turbo instead buying the regular touring AWD model.

Also, downshifting is pushing through shifter forward and shifting up is back. Hands down, way better than everything else

Got a Mazda 6 2.2 diesel before Christmas. Very pleased overall. My previous car was a Ford Mondeo (aka Fusion in US) I would say the Ford rides slightly more comfortably, but the agility of the Mazda around corners is noticeably superior.
It's also impressively quiet (for a diesel) By far the quietest diesel engine I've owned.
Very smooth and responsive.
It has some nice features and the bmw style centre console navigation dial and shortcut buttons are also a pleasure to use.
Makes me wonder how other manufacturers feel the need to overcomplicate things with 1000 buttons around the interior 😅
My only dislike is those flimsy plastic clips that hold the plastic covers under the oil sump. I've broke nearly all of them when changing my oil/filter. Or maybe I'm just too clumsy 😂

Unfortunately Mazda CX-5 2021 does not have lane keep assist. I used to have that in my Honda Accord 2018. I wouldn’t have traded my Honda for a Mazda had I know about it. This is one feature I sorely miss!

I was at a mazda dealership just a few minutes ago getting Maintenance done on my 2017 mazda 6, of course every time I go, I walk myself into a trap where they try to get me in a new vehicle when i'm not in the market right now. but when I do eventually get back into the market, i'm leaning towards the Mazda CX-5 Signature or the GTR as i'm craving to have a turbo in my next vehicle.

It’s not about the wipers or lights 🙄 all cars have it now mostly. It’s cause it’s reliable and premium
