I’ve had my delica 4 for around 10 years. Through all the multi hundred dollar knives I’ve bought since I just always find my way back to the delica. It just really is a perfect knife.

I don't like FRN handles and would choose G10 every time but I like the way Spyderco does their FRN especially in orange, it really makes the texture pop. And I'd rather send some of that 80 to Japan than to China. Vote with your dollar.

Had a cheap Byrd cara cara for years and became my go to knife, more than some much nicer ones. Finally got a better spyderco. Para didn’t seem worth it for my level and wanted lightweight, same as my cheapo but a bit nicer materials. Pretty happy with it.

I have the Delica 4 with (black) FRN handle and its scalpel sharp right out of the box It was $84 off of Amazon....love it!

I agree that the delica is overpriced in the grand scheme of things just like pretty much all spydies, that said having owned and used both knives I can tell you that the delica 4 shit even the delica 1, 2, and 3s are all AT LEAST 30$ more knife than the tenacious which is what I call the Walmart level spydie. As you mentioned in your video it's made in Japan with Japanese steel and they have been making blades for a very long time and the delica has had decades of refining and near perfecting. The tenacious on the other hand is made out of arguably the worst decent modern steel available from a reputable pocket knife maker. Hell I didn't even know they used 8crwhateverMov at spydie land. Moreover to me personally it doesn't even really have a Spyderco FEEL either so much so that if I have never seen or held one before and if it didn't have the spydie hole and no blade etchings I wouldn't even be able to tell it was a Spyderco tbh..

And in all actuality, the BYRD RAVEN 2 is more of a Spyderco than the Spyderco tenacious IMHO...

Don't buy this knife in VG10 steel! ( VG10 Sounds fancy, but it reminds me of the cheap steel you find on a $3 Walmart kitchen knife

Sorry the overrated overpriced Benchmade bug out goes for $160... So 80 90 bucks not a big deal for the Spyderco delica.. I first Spyderco was in 1991 endura serrated with molded pocket clip no liners. My first delica was a delica 2 metal clip but still no liners which really didn't bother me... I own a delica four serrated.. my EDC but I'm looking forward to ordering a delica flat grind plain edge next
