The 15v big brown bear knives are all insane. I can’t get them to dull. I have all three, para 2, manax 2, and the Shaman which is my daily user. I love them all. Shaman in 15v is the best knife I’ve ever owned. I even bought one to keep and never use.

The Shaman has been my “go to” work knife for years. If I had to choose one knife for life, it’d be that knife. I’ve beat the crap out of that S30V so easy sharpening is very important.

I’m also a huge fan of spyderco’s DLC coating. Love how matte it is and how it wears with use and I love doing Spyderco builds with the DLC blades cause it creates a really high contrast look paired with some bright coloured scales. Really cool stuff.

Now comes the true mission. Find a Crucarta or Z-Carta Shaman. I was lucky enough to find a Z-Carta on the swap, and it is probably tied with my 15V Manix as my favorite Spyderco. The Z-Carta is actually in my pocket right now.

Love the Shaman. Have both BHQ versions in M4. Satin and dlc. The micarta is so comfortable 👍🏻

The first S30V knife I owned was a Spyderco. Still razor sharp and not a speck of rust. It's been 15 years now. And the knife design has been discontinued, the Zulu. Sweet knife.

Yup, I agree! The Shaman rules over all my other Spydercos. Adding the CME created even more distance between it and my 2nd place!

That shaman just looks so ergonomic. Thats one of the only other spydies I want besides my yojimbo. Well maybe a yojumbo and the mini.

Just swapped out the scales on my S30V Manix with some AWT aluminum scales and added the replacement ball cage lock and Lynch replacement clip. By eliminating the liners, it almost cut the weight of the knife in half. It’s now only about a half ounce heavier than my lightweight Manix but looks cooler and feels better than the lightweight’s FRN scales.

I agree with you 100% that the Spydercos are improved with secondary market pocket clips.
My favourite is the Lynch Northwest deep carry.

Great video! I got the acid etched version of the Smock with heat treated bronze hardware from KP. I’m obsessed. I’ve already swapped the scales, pocket clip, button, and added a brass back spacer. Can’t decide if I’m going to do Shaman or Para 2 next.

Mine in order Manix2, PM2, Smock, Shaman & PM3. I put in a Flytanium ball lock and a spring from OCD makes the Manix amazing!!!
