It isn’t really clear that the C'tan had previous contact with the old ones. They claimed they did. But considering they were mostly ethereal and almost mindless, there is reason to believe it was a lie to get the Necontyr to do what they wanted willingly.

Some inaccuracies in the video:
1. C'tan were technically the first sentient species since they existed since the creation of the universe but it could be argued whether or not they were sentient before the necrontyr gave then their bodies

2. The Old Ones didn't go mad with power, they acted as shepherds of life and so they refused the necrontyr demands for immortality because they could sense they were evil, malicious, etc.

3.The Aeldari didn't defeat the necrons, the Silent King realized that after the fight against the Old Ones and their revolt against the C'tan they were too weak to fight the Aeldari at their peak so he gave the order to go into stasis for ~60 million years so that the Aeldari would have either killed themselves by then or would be so weak they wouldn't be an issue

4. From what I understand, the Old Ones did not create humanity, they created the Krorks, the Aeldari, and some of the other smaller races like the Jakaro(sorry can't remember how to spell the name). Humanity developed entirely without Old One interference.

I may be wrong with any of these but im pretty confident I remembered correctly

Okay saying that they went mad with power is kinda wrong. Considering they were more like a bunch of people in an old folks home creating stuff but then a bunch of edgy goth teenagers came in wanting to get their meds but they didnt wanna share so the edgy teens decided to raze down the old folks home.

I wish to say, that the c'tan never new what the old one were until the necrontyr asked them for help and told them. The c'tan where sun sucking vampires who had no concept of anything until the living metal bodies were given to them.

yeah man those selfish space lizards did not want to share the secret of immortality with war mongers and conquerors. They were clearly in the wrong here.

Here's some Warhammer 40k history, cause it seems to be needed here.

1.The old ones didn't go "mad with power", the necrontyr(being the race that the necrons used to be)were a warmongering yet fragile race cursed with am extemely short lifespan due to the nature of their home system being REALLY radioactive. The necrontyr demanded that the old ones shared the secrets of immortality, they refused fearing thisbwould only lead to the necrontyr causing even more carnage, which led to a full scale war between the two sides. After having their ass beaten, the necrontyr striked a pact with the C'tan -whom gave the promise to provide what the old ones would not- and in return the necrontyr would help them desteoy the old ones. The necrontyr were tricked, being stripped of their mortality and free will, turned into slaves of living metal and made soldiers of the C'tan. To put it shortly, with their new "upgrades" they beat the shit out of the Old ones and their armies -made up of Eldar and Krorks(basically the space marine version of orks on steroids). Seeing their armies lose and many of their kind being slaughtered, the Old ones decided to flee the galaxy. The C'tan won the war, but some of the necron nobles had been freed from their control. Realising the betrayal of the C'tan, the necron lords took control of their armies and waged war upon the C'tan, killing most whilst enslaving the last of them in giant constructs of war.

2. Eldar didn't accomplish shit, and they sure as hell didn't "defeat" the necrons, not even close.

At this point in time, the necrons were pretty beat, even though they are practically immortal due to the properties of their new bodies, they still needed repairs. Therefor, the dynasty lords made a plan to intomb themselves inside their massive tombworlds, allowing damaged necrons time to be repaired whilst tasking "healthy" ones with guarding them. Without the Old ones to lead them, the other races
(eldar, krorks etc.) Started A LOT of infighting, The necrons figured that by the time their repairs had been completed, the others would be to weak to put up a proper fight.

Other than that, you were pretty spot on

Necrons asked them the secrets of immortality in their first meeting and they didn't say Please lol

They rejected the Necrons because they saw the heatred and evil in their hearts which is evident by the Necrons attacking them after not getting what they wanted. The Old Ones knew the Necrons needed a few million years to learn wisdom before giving them so much power.

It is said that before the necrons got the be the necrons they were almost completely deafeated only with one system left. The old ones decided not to annihilate the necrontyr and got f*cked over later after the necrontyr made the pact with the clan. But that leaves the question of if it makes sense, because how would there have been so many then? Sometimes lore is paradox and incompatible.

The Necrons didn't get defeated by The Eldar, they just decided to fuck off to sleep after destroying The C'tan, had Szarekh been more of a warmonger, they could have wiped The Eldar clean and prevented Slaanesh's birth I reckon

I would love to see a new faction that is perhaps lead by the Old Ones, the Slann still exists in the setting. a 40k version of the Lizardmen would be really cool

Actually they were in 1st edition, and Warhammer Fantasy roleplay 1st edition. But in the original sources, in 40k there was no mention of the War in Heaven, they just stopped their experiments and went into voluntary decline and isolation, and in WFRP an unknown disaster collapsed their warp gates which is how Chaos is in the Old World and why those remaining on earth devolved.

I love how out of the weak, sickly race of the Necrontyr, and the godly races of the Old Ones and the C'tan, the Necrontyr, living now as the emotionless Necrons, were the ones to come out on top.

“The selfish old ones!!”
Yeah how dare they not help a race that immediately declared war on them and would have be a threat to their creations… How dare they!!

The Old Ones only created humanity in Fantasy. In 40K, humanity isn't biologically related to the other races.

Got a lot wrong in this video, glad to see some people correcting you in the comments but they're few and far between

I love how many Necron stans are all arguing how the Necrontyr totally deserved the secrets to immortality.
Lets face some facts, when the Necrontyr met the Old Ones, they already had multiple dynasties that waged brutal wars on one another. They did not have "super cancer" anymore, because they only got it from their homesystems star. The Necrontyr had short ass lifespans, because they evolved on a star with crazy high radiation.
When they learned that the Old Ones could give them immortality they wanted to get it, so the kings of the different dynasties could be immortal god-kings, not for the wider Necrontyr masses.
They started a war, which they began loosing, then sold their soul to the star children for power.

The way Baldermort describes them is how I picture them, beings of light.

There's a theory that the Tyranid, is in fact a species created by old ones for project "reset" should the creator be overthrown or galaxy be overwhelmed by something they don't like.

But ended up being independent as old ones are now defunct.

Edit: hasn't been proven. But there are clues for old ones and Tyranids being connected.
1.The milky way galaxy did in fact encounter Tyranid even before 30k, possibly at the dark age technology era.

Creatures from Catachan that existed even before imperium found the planet were said to have some resemblance with Tyranid. Though primitive, they share similar behaviour and anatomy. This hasn't prove. As eldars who, with their long time of history chronicles, weren't aware of their existence till 30k-40k.

2. When a certain loyalist iron warrior during Horus heresy era, destroys a stolen device that sends out a strong signal of psychic power, the Tyranid senses it from far away galaxies. Again doesn't prove it. But the thing is. The milky way galaxy where 40k is now. Has a warp feature, a one of a kind that connects the psykers for psychic uses. The Tyranid somehow has psychic abilities. Still debatable, possibly taken a Gene from the unknown victims from far away galaxies that shares similar properties as 40k, or actually part of its own traits designed by the old ones.
