If I recall correctly, Old One Eye became a legend, like a ghost story, among the guard. The hive fleet learned of this, and remade it to continue the legend as a fear tactic, since those who encountered were absolutely fucking terrified.

As a tyranids tabletop player i need more tyranid lore~! Out of hundreds of battles i lost 3 times and the worst ass beating i took was against the sisters of battle oof. Also i ran a whole nid shooting army people laughed and lost all the same!
