Frusciante’s ability to make the simplest of melodies be the most beautiful, catchy things in existence is why I love him. He never tries “too hard”, even though he has the talent and totally could, it’s the equivalent of when a drummer knows when to stay in the pocket or not. Great stuff!

The thing about John is he can make a simple riff sound amazing, form really complex layered melodies (Dosed, Untitleds 6 and 7 on Niandra LaDes), or just totally rock out (Before the Beginning, for example, is extremely David Gilmour-esque). And I've only been playing guitar for a few years, but I think the new one on Eddie is my favorite rock song that I've tried memorizing.

The chilli peppers make great music. John and Flea are incredible. And most of their singles are amazing. In my opinion all their albums from blood sugar sex magic to stadium arcanium is great.

I play a lot of different styles and love many different guitarists, but I always keep coming back to Frusciante. I think he’s my favorite guitarist of all time. John Mayer may be a close number 2 for me.

I really love the guitar. Just got myself an '87 G&L L-2000 Bass. Their instruments are just insane. People dont want to hear it but: they sound better than Leo's original Fenders.
