A trick that I use to make editing easier is I clap at the end of takes to know what's good or not. 1 clap means bad, 2 claps means perfect, 3 means good until towards the end. I just look for the spikes in the audio track. I can edit videos without even listening to them using this method.

This video has a wrong title. It didn't really give a detailed instruction for beginners in editing a videotape. It gave a nice clear 5 steps that covers the whole process ... but the actual doing is totally overlooked! Beginners do need detailed steps.

Love the small and simple stuff, super easy on how to edit video for those just starting out. I found "trimming down the fluff" to be way easier now a days. I will either make my own B roll or use Canva for a graphic B roll footage. For music I use Epidemic Sound which I do find it worth the cost. Great video Think Media!

I'd say there is no backwards and forwards in editing. Time is already standing still. All there is to do is review the footage, no matter which end you start from. It's already standing still for you. Just start with whatever method seems to work best for you, so you get done what you're trying to get done.
