John is an absolute assest to VidIQ, the fact that he's relatively new to youtube and video editing is insane. What an absolute legend. I will 100% be watching any vids he makes for VidIQ. 🍻

The best part about this video is the fact that they used EVERY TIP IN THE VIDEO ITSELF!

Another amazing video John! As a How-To content creator I often struggle holding my audiences engagement past the intro, but I definitely know how to change that now!

What I learned in this video is I am John and I need an editor 😂

I’ve been doing my channel for around 8 months and I’m trying to mix it up a bit with my editing but my content is by its nature kind of static. Your video has been incredibly helpful, showing you can do things catchy even if you are small and a solo creator. Cheers Mr Scott. You rock! 💪🏻

Outstanding content! I'm learning so much from this channel.

Question: If you've already posted a video but then go back and edit descriptions, tags, title etc., Does that suddenly boost chances of further reach or do you have to optimize everything at the time of launch?

First time seeing John. At first I was thinking "God, get to the point" but this is really well done. Probably one of, if not the best YouTube education videos I've seen. Well thought out, scripted, shot and edited. Looking forward to seeing more of him - and how about getting him to do your podcast?

Fantastic video. I was actually 'hooked!'
I thought I utilised many of the techniques mentioned in my videos, but it turns out I probably don't half as much as I need to, so some scenes could potentially appear a bit long and uneventful. I'll try using more of these tips in my next video and see how things improve.

I'd hate to be a beginning YouTuber that realizes YouTube is more about video editing skills than good video ideas;)

I just hit 1500 subscribers and 2442 watch hours in 4 months time. For someone who hardly knew how to use a computer, I have come a long way. I just learned a few new things with editing and I am so proud of myself! I try to make each video better than the last. I do wish I could figure out how to improve my thumbnails. I still clearly have no idea what I am But its working, lol.

I REALLY like the outline on John’s body. It kind of reminds me of anime. His editing skills are on par. The amount of work put into it, it shows.

This is absolutely one insane way of editing and capturing my attention. Been watching this channel for years, John brings a different spin in things. Though how long would it take to develop your own unique style and twist will take time. 😮

This is so insanely good! I would love a tutorial on how to do these retention cuts in Davinci resolve

Looking forward to more vids with him!
