In this video James affirms (James 2:14-18) that deeds (or actions) are the byproduct of a living faith. Works do not justify us or make us righteous before God, nor are they the means to salvation. Rather, our deeds are the fruit that grows from one who is obedient to God’s commands and transformed by His grace. Our task is to answer the question of is faith without works dead?
It takes faith to please God but grace empowers us to live out our faith. True faith produces action, and actions/activity is the sign of life.
What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
True faith means our hearts have been changed, and a changed heart is demonstrated through action. Faith with no demonstrable action is no real faith at all. It's dead, James tells us, like a body without a spirit.

Amen ❤️ just as actions speak louder than words, Works speak louder than confessions of faith. And grace is the power to walk out the faith(pistis) that God imparts through His Word.🙏❤️🙏

Yes, faith without works is dead.

James is about our justification before men but not before God.
Men can't see our faith but they certainly can see our works.

Simple enough, I can choose to have an alive faith or a dead faith, nothing to do with salvation at all.

James is really about having a practical faith that helps others and cannot contradict Galatians 2: 16, 2:21, Ephesians 2:8, 9, 10, Romans 4: 5, 6, and Romans 11: 6, which clearly refute any false gospel message of faith plus works equals salvation nonsense.

Works can't prove saving faith.

All works can prove in an already saved person is their level of Christian maturity, nothing else.

Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.

Too say that saving faith always produces works is quite simply backloading the gospel message with works.
