She must not get many compliments on her intelligence because her eyes lit up with joy when everyone complimented her. Very sweet moment.

That's the point. True faith has works. True faith is obedience.

It was so misunderstood by Luther, he wanted the book removed from the canon.

By the way we Catholics do not believe works earn us some Protestants claim. We believe our good works are Christ working through us and we believe these works are our cooperation with Our Lord Jesus in doing the Father's will.

Your works are a reflection of your heart, for Jesus said those who wish to follow me and love me will keep my sayings. He is not saying to be perfect, but to choose righteousness over sin.

Yeshua smiled through her just then- such a sparkle in her eye. Beautifully studious woman.

Through the Love of God and knowing His love.... It's impossible to walk in this world without showing Gods Shine your light (Gods love) to the world so others find Gods love!

When you say you have faith you must back it up with action or else your faith is dead
It’s simple not complicated

Protestants not Catholics have misunderstood James. Martin Luther wanted to remove the book of James because it contradicted Protestants

The book of James has always been one of my favorite books of the Bible if not my absolute favorite.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers when you face trials of many kinds. Because you know that the testing of your faith must develops patience and perseverance, must complete its work so that you may be complete and mature, not lacking anything!

Praise God That he helps us through this life!!!

James 1:1 is the key to understanding the book of James. Always important to understand who the author is and who the intended audience is.

The way my pastor put it was "our faith justifies us in God's eyes while our works justify our faith in man's eyes."

Both faith & works are vital. James & 1st John don’t contradict each other, they compliment each other.
