Protestants not Catholics have misunderstood James. Martin Luther wanted to remove the book of James because it contradicted Protestants

The book of James has always been one of my favorite books of the Bible if not my absolute favorite.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers when you face trials of many kinds. Because you know that the testing of your faith must develops patience and perseverance, must complete its work so that you may be complete and mature, not lacking anything!
