I can't believe Elden Ring is the most game ever.

That's why the dlc has been taking so long, Miyazaki is busy getting awards and attending ceremonies

Actually Elden Ring's total GOTY awards are at 435 right now, cementing it as the most awarded game of all time.

Hearing Elden Ring win all of these awards just makes me smile

Now I don't know about BOTW, but another similarity of Elden Ring and Skyrim is they both let you adventure on your own terms. They're more than fine with you not seeing every inch of the map in one playthrough. The hands off, "do whatever you feel like doing" approach to these games lets you really get immersed in the world as opposed to games like the more recent Assassin's Creed or Horizon games that make sure you're aware of every single POI on the entire map and more or less expect you to go check them all off. It's sort of the difference between traveling as a tourist with a group on rails going from one major site to the next and staying in a hotel vs just going there and finding your own way and learning the culture, checking out the local shops, having conversations with the locals taking everything at your own pace in your own way. One is a world you're shown, the other is a world you live in.

I really hope the upcoming dlc adds covenant. There already is many characters that easily could be covenant leaders. Like ranni, Kenneth haight, or Fia. It would really add even more depth to pvp

Aw, that Miyazaki guy, what a humble winner! 10/10 human person.

I've been playing video games since 1979. Elden Ring is in the top five most fun I've ever had playing a game start to finish.

I'm so happy it's getting the credit it rightfully deserves. It's been probably a decade since a game has hit me in the feelings as hard as Elden Ring did.

I’m so proud to be apart of the Elden Ring community man. It’s brought life back into my love of video games. It’s everything I could want in an action adventure game & more. Totally mind-blowing. Congrats Elden Ring 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

The Elden Lord ending took me nearly six months to get (I got the game in late February and finished it in August cause of school and work) mostly because there's just so many builds, so many characters, and just so much to do that I lost track of my end goal.

I think it deserved Game of The Year, in my opinion.

Elden Ring probably has the best replayability of any game I've ever played imo. There's so many different ways to play with that incredible build variety and amount of stuff to explore. It definitely deserves a high place in gaming history
Edit: Guys, this is an opinion. I'm not stating it as fact. You guys can think whatever you want. Everyone has different tastes and experiences when playing Fromsoft games and games in general. I respect all your opinions, it's cool to see things differently. And to be fair, I haven't beat any other Souls games except for DS1, so my opinion will likely change. I'm currently playing DS3, and really enjoying it. But ngl, I need some build recommendations 😂

I'd love to be able to meet the Gloam-Eyed Queen/ Melina as the Gloam-Eyed Queen and also have the next game set in the Age of the Deep Sea. Can't wait to see what they create next

I think the most important part of what you mentioned is how focused these games are on a single player experience. And they are so well focused on it that eventually people wanna share those worlds with friends. How many times have we looked for a Co-op mod for skyrim? or how long did it take to release the seamless coop for Elden Ring?

If you really think about it. Games like these that are amazingly big create the perfect enviroment to share with a bunch of your friends. Instead of making an MMO RPG where all of your inmertion gets lost. Love Elden and love Skyrim XD
