I lived in Los Angeles for 52 years, a 4.4 is no little earthquake, especially when it's a jolting one, not a rolling one.

You’re officially Californian if:
-Your entire neighborhood randomly starts shaking at any moment
-You have to ask someone to unlock a cage to buy deodorant
-You spend 1-2 hours driving every day
-Your crackhouse in a bad neighborhood cost you a million dollars
-Half your community is setting things on fire and looting
-You have to cross the street 5 times to avoid tents on your way to Starbucks
-You think sitting on a beach with 5, 000, 000 people is relaxing
-You’re a waiter with an audition for a commercial
-Your catalytic converter just got stolen
-You’re pissed because your friend needs to be picked up from LAX and it’s gonna take you 3 hours

I’m sure I’m missing something. Great place

I live near LAX 90045 (Westchester). Perhaps because I'm closer to the coastline. About a mile and a half away. Terrain here felt like a rolling motion. Like valleys and peaks to the motion. The first two peaks to the motion did have a slight jolt. I could hear the frame of the house settling. It did feel longer to me than most earthquakes. But nothing close to the Northridge Earthquake.

I hope it's not a pre curser. What they call a seismic pre earthquake to a bigger one. My experience has always been the bigger one happening in the wee hours. Northridge happened at 4:30 am Jan. 17th 1994. The San Fernando Earthquake at about 7 am Sept. 1971.

The reason we're having all these quakes is because the planets core is rotating backwards. Even Japan is shaking as well. Also there's more volcanoes that are erupting than usual. The super volcano under Yellowstone national Park is also showing signs of activity. And it's only gonna get worse. Much worse.
