I woke up to howling 3 MPH winds and light rain in San diego. We got about an inch of rain and NO wind, it is over in San Diego, BIG DUD. It is a asymptomatic hurricane or it is cover story. Meanline back in Hawaii the toll reached a thousand souls lost.

Reading the comments here, I find it hilarious that some people are wishing for some sort of disaster to happen. We're just half way through this storm, but I for one am happy that nothing major has happened so far and hope it will stay that way.

It might seem like people are being overcautious and for some fear mongering but I think staying vigilant and preparing ahead of possible natural disaster is an important part of using technology to keep people safe and away from danger. If this much warning was given in the fires of Maui the people involved could have responded better.

This reminds me of when I lived in Miami and would get sucked in to hyperbolic hurricane watch, not sleeping to make sure I stayed up for the next barometric reading...on the top of the hour. After about 4 years of that, I learned not to get totally sucked in. When I saw all the graphics with this, my first thought was they must have brought in the South Florida meteorological news teams. Now, it really does seem like they did.

Am a missing something? Has it not fully hit yet? I’m in Long Beach and the rain is like a medium drizzle! They are even closing schools down in Los Angeles county on Monday for this storm, what storm am I not seeing, cause this is weak even for a typical la storm standards.
