DoorDash - Did #DeclineNow Change The Pay Model?

Right. I dont see the problem with the new pay model. My base pay since i started march 5 and i only take orders per my worth. I make good money. My tips always are higher due to my customer service, character and integrity

I’m an independent contractor, I can cherry pick whatever offers I want. The only thing that alleged pay model is going to do is make people completely leave the platform.

To many high mileage low pay orders were not getting picked up

Doordash really needs to understand that we are independent contractors. Can you imagine calling a plumber and saying, “well, your base pay for this project will be $20 but it may or may not be more than that.” They would laugh at you and hang up. Also, I have tried instacart and I didn’t like it. It takes forever, especially in bigger stores and there is ALWAYS an item that you can’t find or it out of stock. Then you have to wait for the customer to tell you if a substitute is ok or if they want to remove the item. I was only making like $12-$13 an hour doing instacart.

As long as there are people ignorant enough to accept lowball offers, they will continue to hide tips on $6 offers.
