There's a poetry here that would feel completely fake if it were in a movie. At the very last event of the very last night, Femke Bol secured the gold by overtaking Jamaica in the EXACT SAME SPOT where she fell and lost the gold on the very first night. You can't make this stuff up. This was definitely the best moment of the entire Championships.

And it all came full circle for Femke - well done! So close to winning 3 Gold Medals!

Femke is a joy to watch. I was amazed she was able to make up the distance down the stretch to take the gold for her team. Great stuff!

Maybe revenge is not the right word—more like redemption.

The most beautiful thing in my opinion, is that we are here commenting and admiring what team NED did in this race, and most of us we are not from the Netherlands, just love the sport in its most pure way.

This is i love the most from atheltics, the sportmanship between athletes and fans, i think no other sport has this and of course thanks team NED for this magical race.

That last 50 by Bol was spectacular...what a fairy tale ending and fierce drive through the line. Can't wait to see what her future holds Paris.

For non-track fans, in the US, imagine you're running as fast as you can for not just one whole football field, but 4 of them. Against the best in the world. Now you have to come charging up from a distant third to break the tape and win the gold. Which is exactly what Femke just did. Impossible! It is one of the signature performances in track history.

I was in the stadium telling everyone Femke would do it. She did it, it was absolutely wild.

I love watching Bol run. She has the most fluid and graceful style. In the last Diamond League meet of the season, , she was in a close race going over the penultimate hurdle. She just blew away the rest of the field from that point. She is pure class.

Yes, a great race. Bol was incredible. But also Klaver on the 2nd leg!

I have been supporting Femke all season and was devastated for her falling in the mixed Relay. What an amazing achievement to overcome that by winning her individual event easily get her 2nd ever fastest time.
Then the icing on the cake was to watch the most incredible last 100m of the really overtaking two fast runners and winning the Gold for her team and country. Absolutely awesome and so well deserved. What a fantastic 2023 World Championship.

Let me first be very honest, although I am not usually a big fan of most of the U.S. bloggers I could sit back relax and listen to you all day and night and never get bored. You tend to always on point with your stats and info. Actually, with so many U.S. bloggers being so bias, you’ve brought a different light to the sports. I can only say thanks so many times.

After that fall in the mixed 4x4 I'm glad to see her storm the anchor leg to win gold. It's a nice little redemption story there.
