How to add salt to your water softener #yournewplumber

Adding salt to your water softener is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

We recommend the Sodium Chloride Crystals, and they usually come in a blue bag.

Step 1 - Open the lid to the softener (Some softeners are a one tank system, this one is a 2 tank - so the salt reservoir is it's own separate tank)
Step 2 - Open the bag of salt.
Step 3 - Pour the salt into the salt tank and then close the lid.

First time with one, after adding salt, do i add water too to match salt level? Or i dont add eater and allow system to push water needed on its own? Its an Aquasure system, and Aquasure says keep water level half way same as salt level, but plumber is telling me otherwise.

I have a question, so I work for a very well known restaurant that serves breakfast and coffee and what not so my question is okay, so one of the employees that has been working there for years now and hes been there a long time he told me that they use to do this at the restaurant during the winter now they dont do it and so now that it got cold and they havent been adding that we think that the pipes may have frozen now we have a dish washer machine and it doest fill up with water could it be that the pipes got frozen and thats why the diahwasher is not filling up with water because the company doesnt wanna spend money on this

Easy peasy. What’s the filter above the softener? A pre filter or looks like a carbon filter to clean up the softener water?

Looks like you have an iron issue and may have slight low pH looking at the bubbling and film on top of your brine tank
