Thank you for your videos. I have to add salt and am told to make sure salt cell is turned off for 24 hours after adding the salt. That doesn’t make sense to me. Do you agree with turning off salt cell?

When the salt and chlorine levels are both low, should you add just salt and let the chlorinator make the chorine or should you also add liquid chlorine as well to adjust levels to the ideal range, letting the chlorinator keep it at that level?

Hi new to salt water pools just installed my salt cell and power board so about to add salt for first time ever. Is there No need to worry about salt burning or discolouring liner pouring directly into pool like that ? Especially when I’m gonna have to add 6-7 bags a first setup

It is highly recommended you turn off your chlorinator before adding the salt for 24 hours so the salt has time to resolve. Otherwise you risk burning up the chlorinator.

How do you know what percentage to leave it on to distribute the chlorine from the salt generator? Pool Company said 100%, but it went through the salt so fast, I don't want to keep buying bags of salt every week. I put it on 60% to see if that helps make it last alil longer. Tho i know some depends on the weather....heat and rain could eliminate the chlorine quicker. I only added 1 bag of salt this week and it brought it back to the green light (good level). BTW I have a 14x28ft rectangle pool, 3ft shallow end and 6ft deep end.

Many 5 star resorts I've been to as a kid had an indoor chlorine pool and an outdoor saltwater pool lagoon, difference is adding only 240 kg of pool salt, it still needs chlorine 😂
