Unfortunatelly there is one MAJOR problem with this solution. Adding three separate dynamic light sources to the character will make a gigantic impact on performance.

How would I stop the flashlight from clipping through walls when up against them?

Nice, this does make for a nice effect, although I may use fewer or maybe only one spotlight and tweak the inner and outer ring, so it doesn't drop much performance in my potato PC. Good video.

I appreciate you taking the time to teach this realism/immersive feature and would like to point a few things out.
First, don't use two directional lights (it can be costing performance wise), instead use one light with a function material applied so you get the artistic outcome you're looking for, gives you more artistic control as well as it's less costly on performance. This is used to fake the double headlights of cars in other games.
Second, some as myself, would like such features that induce a kind of wobble (head bobbin) or drag effect to be a toggle option somewhere in the menu. A video showcasing such toggle behavior would be nice.
Keep it up and thanks for taking the time to make it.
