Hey guys, in today's video, I'm going to be showing you how to create a mission objectives system. In this we will have one blueprint which you can quickly set the written objective for, so you can walk into it, play a sound, and have the objective appear on screen.

Thank the heavens, someone that gets down to the gritty details and skips the fluff. Quick and concise with good presentation. Thank you.

Nice video, pretty handy, The way you have made this is simply an overlap notifier not really an objective system.
Id like to see a 2023 version of this video. Where the missions are in order drawing the info from a list that can be altered as and when.

Not to be rude but: This is utterly stupid. #1 I did everything in the video correctly. #2, cannot see what other nodes have been added at 1:41 #3 cannot see it in the game once the sound is heard. #4 already added add to viewport to both the third person character blueprint (BP) and have added it to the (my words here) "Objective_1" (widget). I hit play, the sound is heard but not the visual cue. I-- ugh-- ah-- I-- I got to have somebody to help me! Please!

Do you think you could make one of these where it unlocks a door and/or cutscene? This is well done

Hi Matt, how can I implement this for another character because I have 2 characters which the user can select from. Because when attaching the text bind to the return node only 1 can be connected and i tried using a sequence but it doesn't work. Thanks.

it says the "As Third Person Character" output in the "Cast to Third Person Character" node is incompatible with the "Set Current Objective" node "target" input.

Thanks for the tutorial, is there anyway to get a fade in and fade out effect for the objective?
