I personally think the canon ending is the minutemen ending with both the brotherhood and railroad at peace.

Idc what anyone says I played mm and brotherhood and I have over 250 minutemen at my settlement and i download a militarized mm mod so now their all decked out in Vietnam War era style military gear. I've effectively rebuilt the common wealth with a 350 hr no cheat mod playthrough

Coolest I felt playing the minutemen ending was when I blew up the institute and just yelled "I am the minute MAN!"

Once you have put a few dozen and even a few hundred hours into settlements mods related to the minutemen (buffed militia mod), they can easily defeat all forces in the commonwealth, the best part is that you feel more connected to the minutemen because you see it at its lowest point, and witness its rise to its prime, from just a few straggling survivors from the Quincy Massacre & a Sole Survivor that just entered the world of fallout with no experience, to a force to be reckoned with, thats the beauty of Fallout.

I only really wish that there were options to deal with the factions that weren't just genocide. You either let them keep causing issues or kill them entirely
