The soul is eternal, however this is low functioning clinical depression being described. Usually a result of rejection, or abuse or trauma. It takes time, self love, and forcing yourself to engage back into life. Do the thing you loved and hang with people that are encouraging.
I've been there, it's a dark place. Don't give up, reach to God, and move forward. Love to all who hurt like this.

Sometimes, we all feel drained. But our souls can never die. They live forever. If you are deeply sad and and not interested in life then it is important to reach out to people that understand. I'm so glad I did not see this video when I was feeling like life was not worth living and I had no purpose. My husband died in my arms 4 months ago and even though I am hurting and I don't know how I'm going to make it financially, I know that my soul is there and it will rest with me until I am ready to move on. But, if you ever feel like hurting yourself then only you can call and tell someone who knows how to take care of you when you feel like you cannot take care of yourself. I felt just like this most of my life. Tried many things including church. What helped was accepting Jesus Christ as my savior. It is a personal relationship with him, rather a brick and mortar construct. Religion is disgusting, but knowing your creator is amazing. May you all find peace through repentance and salvation. The soul cannot be drained or die. A person who is finding it difficult to cope and is experiencing the feelings described is not experiencing soul death.

This video speaks of depression. Your soul can detach from this body but it can not die. You are your soul. This body and the life you are experiencing is temporary but you are eternal. Feeling drained is normal for most empaths. We typically allow our energy to be sapped and are often bombarded by negative energy but it will never kill your soul. To me this is exactly the description of a depressed being. Even during a spiritual awakening, you can go through a depressive phase it’s called the “dark night of the soul.” I wouldn’t be so harsh to say someone’s soul is dying.

Yeah, this is depression, not one's soul dying. I'm going through most of these symptoms at the moment after my relationship with the love of my life came to an end recently. I am handling my emotions and know that "this too shall pass " but I was hoping for SOME bit of encouragement at the end of the video. Instead it left me feeling worse than when I first started watching. Ugh.
