I really appreciate that you take the time to explain the background of each step. It makes it a lot less confusing. Great video.

I'm new to version control. Your video helped a lot setting GitLFS for the first time. Thank you.

This is a great video, and even though it's a little out of sync with current versions it still seems to suit the need. However, I'd love to see an updated version of this video especial with the new GitHub Desktop and UE5

.uproject is a text file format, therefore it doesn't need to be included in LFS.

Hey, I followed all your notes but when I tried cloning the small level I build it just created the default level when you start a new project with starter content. What could have gone wrong? thx!

This stuff I heard is really really useful but I'm like so frustrated with it because a project I am working on is broken from my friends side, he says its giving him errors in UE4 when he tries to access it but oddly it works okay on my side and I have nothing checked out or with any icons for course control in UE4 or even in the Git Desktop App. I am so confused right now as to what it could be.. :(

Great tutorial. Quick question: why is your github desktop client different from mine. I downloaded it from Github. It should be the same but the interface is different and more importantly it's not showing the branches. Thanks!

For future reference: .uproject files are textfiles and perfectly diffable

Thanks for this video, Matt!
I am thinking to switch from Perforce to Git, but not sure about good integration, not really know situation today but if they are equal I would be happy to use git (me and my team are more familiar with it). Just was recommended to start with perforce and having a lot pain with it... What can you suggest? maybe some pros and cons?
In addition to the video if would be great to add in description some links about good .gitignore file example ;)
