The fact you throw these tiny lures without a birds nest is just amazing to me, my baitcaster can’t throw anything that is light, like anything under 5 or 6 grams, instant birds nest.

With how much less time I get to fish, I really don't want to buy so many lures nowadays and really hate getting skunk on using big profile baits. I exclusively use BFS and the only using one hand technique while I steer my boat is amazing

It's amazing that spinning gear has become completely optional due to BFS. I swear baitcasters are where it's at. It's hard to use spinning gear ever again once you first pick up a baitcaster.

One thing you can do when you're doing stuff like this is put some electrical tape around the hook. If you do it right there's zero chance of snagging something. This is basically how I started teaching myself baitcasting, in the backyard with some tape around my hooks

Love the way cork handles look.... hate the way they feel. They're cool whipe they are dry but get them wet and they're just too slick.

This can be done on other gear. I have a lews tournament pro LFS paired with a 6'6 medium extra fast st.croix premier that cast a 1/16 oz head with a 2.5 inch zman slim swim like nothing. With a ultra light rod im sure it would absolutely launch it

You can use any lure tou just need to use your thumb before it hits the water
