Shiny Hunting Purple Flame Cyndaquil

Puffin, why are you resetting Cyndaquil with HP Stat of 20 and Female Cyndaquil without checking them?

A HP STAT of 20 and all females can't be shiny. It is because shininess is determined by the DVs (predecessor to IVs) and a 20 in HP is not in any DV combination that is also shiny. For females the Pokemon gender is based on the Pokemon's attack DV and no 12.5% female ratio Pokemon is able to have a shiny female due to them only having a 0 or 1 attack DV which is not in any of the shiny combinations.

I'm finally starting Pokémon Crystal on the road to Shiny Celebi. Let's start by Shiny Hunting a Purple Flame Cyndaquil as our starter. We are looking deep at 1/8292 odds, let's just hope it's quick.
