I Speedran Catching 100 Shiny Pokemon

With the more recent years of Pokemon releases, Pokemon fan claim that shiny hunting is easier than it has even been before - but is it really? I took on this idea in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Indigo Disk DLC, to see how quickly I could catch 100 Shiny Pokemon. I really wish they would bring back the audible chime that Legends Arceus made when a shiny spawned. It was super helpful for those tough-to-spot shinies, especially now that we have mons that are small and decently hidden in the grass.

John, outbreaks of Sinistea and Polchageist were updated when the Teal Mask came out. There are outbreaks for both, if one Pokémon in that outbreak is authentic, they all are authentic and vice versa.

At 22:30 during the sinistea outbreak, the form of sinistea is locked to outbreak so if it’s an outbreak of phony forms it’ll only spawn phony and never an authentic meanwhile if the outbreak is of authentic it’ll only spawn authentic and never phony

Late to the party because I wanted to finish the DLC before watching this, but loved this video!! Always a pleasure to watch you shiny hunt, and was very rewarding after many of your videos where you'd hunt hours for a single pokemon to see you get a whole bunch in 10 minutes in the middle there! Honestly started losing it when you started talking about the polar caves in New Hampshire. You unlocked so many childhood memories of yearly trips going to the polar caves and the lemon squeeze and orange crush, haven’t thought about that place in well over a decade.

I have a theory that established shiny hunters have an internal enzyme in their body that makes finding shinies easier and easier as they collect more and more. Case in point - Johnstone.

Also, anecdotally, my brother and I were hunting a beldum for my VGC team and I've only recently started hunting shinies. I came away with one. My brother, who's been hunting for several years now, came away with two, one of them were marked :/
