Is Being Stood Up a Good Thing? - Part 1

Have you ever been stood up, and it turned out to be for the best?

I got stood up before by a guy I really liked. I am so grateful that he did that for 2 reasons. 1 I later found out that he was engaged during the time we were supposed to go out! and 2 My friend who had my back and came to cheer me up is now my husband! God saved me.

I would never stood up a woman. That is very disrespectful. People should always commit to what ever plans they had. Or at least cancel in advance.

Being stood up is horrible. A guy told me that he would be there in about an hour and then he texted me again thirty minutes later and said he would be there soon. I literally sat on my couch, all dolled up, and waited for almost three hours for him. He texted me late that night and said something came up, so he wasn’t able to make it. I felt so disposable in that moment. 😞

It takes 5 seconds to text someone you cant come, I dont believe in excuses. Its also Basic manners to let the other person know, especially we're in 2018 so theres many ways you can contact. Especially when people have their phones by their side all the time.It's just disrespectful and makes you look childish that you dont feel the need to inform them. Nobody has time for that.

I got stood up. I was 16. We were supposed to go to the movies so i was there and he was supposed to pay (he offered) so i had to stand at the front. I stood there for 2 hours then he texted he and said his sister needed help moving so he couldnt make it.... it was 11pm.. so i had to embarrassingly call my mom to get me and turns out she was waiting and watching me the whole time in the parking lot. I know i looked like a fool but she just comforted me and we got ice cream. I never talked to him again.

I've been stood up several times. No call, no show. Every time I just ended up taking myself out.i didn't get all dolled up for nothing!!

Last time I checked being stood up is one of the worst things ever... but you can turn the negative of that situation into a positive outcome... don't let that ruin your mood ! But why can't people just be honest upfront and say I don't want to date you... you're just wasting their time

I had a bf who would only take me out to his house every date was either his house or to play basketball and when he finally was going to take me out to the movies he stood me up by saying his grandma was coming into town so he had to go pick her up, end of the story I was all ready to go all dolled up and ended up going with this really nice guy I had met through a friend and we ended up having a great time and now this guy is my husband haha thank God he gave me the best hubby I could ever have 💞😍😘

I got stood up a couple of times. Once by a girl I really liked. I bought new outfits, made sure to clean my car and stayed late at work the day before so I could make sure I can leave early. Long behold she cancels last minute w/o calling or texting. It was a horrible feeling but I’m glad I went through it cause like they said it gave me the sign that she wasn’t the one meant for me. I’ve now met the kindest and most beautiful woman in the world and I make sure to let her know everyday how thankful I am to have met her.
