Throughout my life, I’ve owned only an American & 7 Japanese cars before I tried a Korean car because that was the only brand that offered a small car diesel. In the almost 7 years I’ve owned it, it is running almost 187k kms & hav’nt had any major issues aside from parts that had to be routinely replaced. Very solidly built. All my Japanese ones never reached this mileage & were running very “tired” before they reached 150k with body creaking, alignment & camber issues, loss of power, rusting parts & a host of other issues. I was so impressed & with the savings I got from it, I bought another Korean car, a diesel crossover this time. The only issue in the Philippines with Korean cars now is the bias with the badge (as evidenced by the comment above) & the resale value, both of which I don’t really care about. Korean cars have really come a long way.

Hyundai and Kia Philippines, are you guys watching this?? You need to stop holding back on specs, overpricing your cars, and being complacent on the quality of your aftersales/casa service.

I hope there will be a strong PH car brand someday. So that we employ more of our fellowmen. Quite idealistic, but may very well benefit our economy. We bought a lot of cars from Japan, look at their progress

In all honesty... Chinese cars look so good! They also have it all... I just wish japanese cars will do their upgrades and make their cars look good.. i would still choose toyota any day for its being reliable and easy to maintain reputation but their Chinese cars are a looker! Japanese manufacturers should really consider this factor or they might experience what happened to the japanese smartphones like sony and sharp... Vanished because they're so lazy to innovate (also expensive) and now we are flooded with Chinese phone brands...

My friend bought a brand new BAIC van. There were defects just after 3 months of using. Maraming nasira, iba-ibang parte ng sasakyan.

I shifted to MG RX5 from Innova and I can honestly say RX5 feels much better than Innova. I also own a Terra. But the MG RX5 was a huge surprise. Very, very high-quality vehicle. Best of the best!

I did a walkaround first impressions vlog of the Chery Tiggo 8 Luxury EX on my channel. I have to say, with all the bells and whistles that comes standard, and add to that the awesome warranty coverage offers, It's hard to resist the urge to plunk down for the downpayment. Certainly the Chery and other Chinese brand vehicles have come a long way.

As a rule of thumb, if you want good quality for cheap, don't buy clones. Buy from companies that design their own phones. Clones spent too much time and effort cutting corners on trying to look like something else whereas an original company aren't limited by these things and can bring you the best product they can possibly make.
And always buy branded for items over $100. Branded items have alot more effort put into them for their reputation.

Actually we need not Chinese brands on our streets with underpriced price tags...

Bring in the Europeans on our islands without having to pay twice the price and we're in business

Edit: Some dont actually understand what I'm trying to say....

(The 3 series BMW in Europe starts just under P2 million . But here in PH it starts at P3.5 million
You have to pay an extra P1.5 million which I think is not just worth it.)
