My Life Improved After Cheating Ex Left, Hers Not So Much... Surviving Infidelity..

My story actually goes back a few years but the current situation with the pandemic has sort of brought it back to life in a way. I turned 39 last December, my gf birthday is one week before mine and my daughter’s falls in between so we tend to have a birthday week celebration. We had been together for nearly seven years at the time, married for almost five. I thought we were very happy. The speed with which everything changed shocked me.

All of this started back when I was 32 and my daughter was 4. My ex wife was 31. My ex wife joined a new gym because of a promotion they were having. It was a very expensive high end place. It was after that when the trouble started. The details of the cheating aren’t that interested so I’m not going to spend much time describing it. For about six months my ex wife became distant, picking fights a lot, going out on ‘girls nights’, etc.

Story 1:
My life improved after cheating wife left
Story 2:
PI cought my wife cheating the past four days!
Story 3:
2 years post affair, affair partner is now a part of my kids’ life and it’s hell. Anyone out there who’s learned to cope and live a free life?
Story 4:
My mom confided in me about her affair when I was 11 years old.

The ex is unhappy when the man is doing better without her.
Ex is more unhappy when the man is happy with another Wahman.

Man that warning about southeast Asian families mooching off of a foreign wealthy husband was 100% accurate. I hope he listens.

I love story 1! OP did nothing but sign the papers and live his life and ex's life crumbles years later! Chefs Kiss.

it is really sad that the person that got cheated on always must be the "better person" when the other one doesn't deserve any happiness in their live but has all the happiness (atleast from the outside) ...

First story, the dude is living it up rn and did not speak one ill word about his ex-wife, no venom soaked insults of any kind, that's how you know her leaving was the best thing that could've happened to him in the end

"The best revenge is living a good life!"
This saying is 100% true. (especially for people who were betrayed/ left for "something better".)

People who claim they are "Still in love" with a cheating spouse or partner fail to realize that the person they are in love with no longer exists, if they ever did.

As soon as I saw "joined a gym", I winced. Yeah, I knew where it was going.
It's bloody textbook at this point.

First story is simple get a prenup and protect your assets. This is one of those situations where you need to also prepare yourself in case your ex wife wants to see you for full custody and alimony. Because I can guarantee you if her life is getting bad now it's going to get worse if you take your daughter to Thailand especially if you were given full custody by her and not the courts

To the first story: I'm from Thailand, so hearing the man is having a good time with a Thai woman lifts up my heart so much. Anyway, as some comments down here show skepticism towards the woman since you know where she's from, I would say, you aren't wrong. The woman seems to be well-taught of caretaking. She would do well not only as a wife, but also as a daughter to her family in her home country. Majority of us are taught to look after our parents, if not physically then maybe by material supports such as money. Please, don't judge this tradition. I only wish the guy to try to understand her situation and they talk well about the money before they decide to move to Thailand. Beware of her relatives wanting the money, too. I would say, staying in your country not moving to Thailand might be a better choice, but there are many outcomes in reality of Thai women married to foreign guys, so it's really up to the couple. Above all of these, wish them a happy time together.

Be careful on the third story because I get the feeling that your ex wife wants to push you out of the picture and no time. She's bringing her Affair partner into your children's life instead of focusing on your children's mental help your kids may be happy now but at some point they're going to ask questions and you need to be prepared to tell them the truth before right now focus on your mental health and making your kids happy

Title story: Well done OP. He used his single time to the fullest, to improve, to be a better man. Of course the ex is now having sour grapes. Play her the world's smallest violin! I just hope he doesn't fall into the familiar trap with the new g/f, becoming her (and possibly her family's) full-time provider, at the expense of his own interests.

"My girlfriend is from Thailand and is ten years younger than me. She studied therapy and worked in a spa."

Second story: you cant clean out a joint account of more than half, since it is shared money. You need to go via lawyers for that. It could come back and bite you in the ass.

His story touched my heart when his daughter sounded really keen to move with her dad. Like, she loves her dad so much she is enthusiastically learning a whole new language and preparing to move with him. My heart

If money is the most important thing to someone in a relationship, they will only be there as long as you can afford their time. OP's wife left for a dude with a bigger bank balance, then regretted it as soon as he started losing what attracted her.

Story Three:

It's good that stories like this are posted. Because sometimes, the cheating spouse gets their happy ending, while you're left picking up the remaining pieces of your life. The advice here is sound, focus on yourself and your kids (if any), block EVERY other needless thing out. It won't be easy at all, but you gotta do it.

The second story is pretty obvious it's time for her to get her karma and for it to burn her beyond recognition

So after the wife left...

OP worked on himself,

Learned to be happy again,

Made bank,

Got a (i am guessing cute) girlfriend that is younger than the ex

And os now getting ready to move to another country to start a new life with his daughter.

Dont u just love a happy ending?
