IT'S NOT BREAKING UP. RATHER THE SEA LEVEL IS RISING UP AND SUBMERGED THE FAULTLINE THAT IS LOWER THAN THE PRESENT SEA LEVEL. THIS WAS CAUSE BY THE TECTONIC PLATES.
