I've had some Hard Arguments with People about the fact that Australia Is a Country, Oceania is The Continent. And Ive looked up Many Geography Textbooks, All Stating The Continent is Named Oceania. But It seems Since The Advent of Internet, There are just UNREAL amounts of sites, which have Misinformed people into believing the Country of Australia is a Continent which includes the surrounding islands around it. This is Why I would Highly Suggest People educate themselves with Actual Physical Textbooks/Encyclopedias and not from Youtube and Wikipedia and other Misinformation sites.

As a Kiwi (New Zealander) I would have thought us being a continent would make people making maps stop leaving us off them!! We are real! Also, we aren't that unknown. I used to work in the Immigration department here, and we got thousands and thousands of calls from people making visa applications to our little country!

One point if I may though? I'm a 74yr old Aussie and for a long time it's been my understanding that Australia is the only island that is a continent and the only continent that is and island. An island continent if you will!

So you mean to tell me zoolandia is real and where my ancestors dwelled? That would be great but my ancestors believed that New Zealand was apart of the original land of lemuria and the highest peak that is why the air New Zealand is crisp and clean unlike anywhere else in the world. The landmass is the 8th continent. It is called Aotearoa which fits with all continents that start and end with the letter a, this is why there is a 300 km radius around the nine Islands, the bulk of the landmass is underwater. It also contains one of the kaldra volcanoes in Rotoru. It is commonly known as Lake Taupo. It was also inhabited by white people 800 years ago which was clarified by the tribes of Gisborne
