Ford planning to cut hundreds of jobs

Ford Motor Company is planning to cut hundreds of jobs -- news that came just after the company reported a multi-billion dollar loss in the first quarter.

Since they are cutting 3, 000 workers to cut costs, they will also be cutting executive bonuses to cut costs, right? No?

Why would they lay ppl off when it’s fords investment into rivian that set them back? Meanwhile there are people that have been waiting for bronco orders over 2 years

Not "hundreds" try thousands. This is going to hurt. This is part of the first wave of devastating job losses.

All because they lost more than a billion dollars at Rivian. That is not right and not fair to people who will lose their livelihoods.

My very good friend was one of those let go. He worked for Ford close to 30 years. They outsourced his entire department to India. They had the audacity to make them train their replacements before being laid off. This isn't sustainable! There wont be anyone left to buy cars developed and built here in the US. I have no ill will towards the folks in India. You can't blame them for trying make a better life for themselves. They need to pay attention though. The companies are already looking at the cheap labor in Africa.

It just shows we cant afford a 60 thousand pick up truck. Keep up the pet project in cork town. It must be in the billions by now. Ford goes by 2 names, ? Toyota. Same truck same line, same workers.
