I got a comment from a Watchtower apologist on my last video that absolutely demonstrates cult mentality. If you think like this, I've got news for you... you're in a cult.

ExJw here, I was a born-in and baptized at age 13. I was the Golden child in the congregation until I was 22 and started questioning the faith. After the local elders completely blundered their responsibilities, I was shook enough to do my own research and I slowly realized it was a cult. They are by far one of the most destructive and dangerous cults I know of.

Fun story: when my mother was still trying to convince me of the error of my ways she sent a letter saying she was sad that I'd die at Armageddon 😮. I called her and said I think it's sad she thinks that, and I'd like to explain why I think she's wrong and I'm not about to die -- she said that's what the Catholics think too... I said 'and if I were on an island with only the information that I had when I got baptized, I'd be just as wrong as those Catholics " 😂😂😂😂
She now totally shuns me, my wife, and her granddaughter because of that convo -- and she never did let me explain why she is wrong... She literally said she 'didn't want to hear anything she didn't already know'...
Yeah -- that's a cult!

The “real truth “ does not need defending and the people that watch and negatively comment on videos such as this are blatantly disobeying the leaders of the Watchtower cult I would love to see one of them post their own video admitting that they watch apostate videos and see how long it would take before they “get in trouble” .

Russell himself said that if anyone returns to reading the Bible without his Studies in the Scriptures, will soon return to Christendom. Hmmm. How many current JWs are familiar with these writings and the books later written by Rutherford.
There is a Canadian channel, David and Vivian Aspinall, who feature books now abandoned by Watchtower.

What he is saying is true no active JW is allowed to engage with an apostate (because they they are scared of more JWs getting their eyes open) But that doesn't mean it is impossible for an active JW to leave anonymous hate comments in apostate's channels.

Hey Jon, I've never commented on one of your vids before, but been watching a while.

I've been doing a bible study with Jdubs for a year and a half now. I knew nothing much of substance about religion before, but what I was being taught, made me smell a rat and made me dig deeper, hence finding all you so called apostate guys. I've dedicated my last 6 months trying to wake up my study teachers who have now become friends.

I've tried a few different ways, but struggle to plant seeds. I decided to go to one day of their convention yesterday as I felt I perhaps need to understand them better.

I could totally see after spending the day surrounded by 10, 000 witnesses and listening to their speeches as to why they like the cult and stay in it and came to a very quick realisation, that these people I have become friends with, will remain lost forever.

I just wanted to say thank you for the work you do, as it must help so many that have woken up or who are waking up, or those like me, that are not and never will be a jw, but want to learn more ❤🙏

So true. Watching apostate videos is disobeying the Governing Body. And disobeying the Governing Body is the equivalent of disobeying Jehovah.

I got out at 18 and I'm 37 now and I just started going to real therapy and I am just completely blown away by how much they have suppressed me as a human being long after I even left and I never knew. My mind has been completely blown what they do to people and my brain shut out a lot of bad memories. This is truly the biggest cult on the planet.

Very true equation. Witnesses are told to trust the Faithful Slave completely since Jesus does. And I quote, "If you don't trust the Slave, you don't trust Jehovah"

They're shunning policy is so painful! I've been awake for a decade in November, shunned longer than that. Yet, I got reshunned by my 80 year old mother again, after she slipped up and had a 2 hour phone call with me a week ago. The elders got her back in line and she called to say she can't talk to me except for medical information. I got so hurt that I became angry. I later texted an apology, because my goal is to reflect Christ, not to be angry. It's been a couple days and my heart just aches. I see the days, months and years passing by as my mother ages. It hurts to know she'll go to her grave estranged from her daughters bc of this cult. I've tried to reach her heart so many times, and get close, but those elders swoop in to make sure I get no time with her. My heart is so broken. It's hard to swallow the pain. I don't hate the rank and file. I pity them. But I detest the lawyers that run the program in the background. Evil men!

I want to thank you for your compassion to everyone in your videos. It helps! Please send love to your wife. I used to really enjoy her videos, but I haven't seen any from her in a while, so I assume she's gone on to live her life. More power to her! She's a really good person.

True Video. Too bad people dont understand that you cant call out "cults" without being labeled a hater . I do not hate anyone and I see you do not either. We love people and try to help all those in cults to see both sides of the stories. Changing "beliefs" and rhetorics year after year should wake up members to think WHY DOES THIS RELIGION KEEP CHANGING ITS MIND ?

JW organisation doesn’t like people with critical thinking, for an obvious reason.
I never been disfellowshipped, but I stopped going to meetings about 12 years ago, after my son was born. Something in me didn’t like the idea of giving him the JW teaching like what I had since I was 4. And only now, I allowed myself to watch ex JW videos like yours, because the indoctrination was so rooted in me.
Thank you for all the videos about JW histories and other things that they always cover up. Like you always say, I didn’t know those things when I was an active JW.

I dated and later married a jw. He never told me the full story. He stopped going. We were together for two years before we got married. I had questioned him about it multiple times. He didn't want to discuss it. He went back to the meeting the Sunday after we were back from our honeymoon. He expected me to go and I got no warning about anything. He felt like he had to trap me to be in his religion. Says so much

The GB doesn't want their slaves to read the Bible because they can't explain John 14:6 I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.
It would be hard to reconcile their reasoning that Jehovah would by-pass Jesus. Doesn't that say Jehovah, God, doesn't respect Jesus?🤔
