Framing a House in 4 Days | Building a House Start to Finish | S2 EP6

Let's frame some 2x6 walls! This episode we are starting from the ground up and finally framing and building our walls. We started out by transferring the plan design onto the floor with chalk lines and when the lumber arrived we got straight to work. We started by laying out the top and bottom plates and marking our layout for studs, door and window placement. Next was to stand the walls up. Exterior walls were framed with 2x6 lumber We were able to frame and raise all the exterior walls in 2 1/2 days. A friend came by with a skidsteer and backfilled our foundation for us. With one day left we layed out and framed the interior walls from 2x4 lumber, I was a couple boards short so we will finish the interior walls in the next video.

I like the design of your home...

I imagine a catwalk on that 16 ft pitch so you have easy access to clean the window in that area.

no blocking on those tall walls? should have some for lateral bracing as well as fire blocking?
