A Damp Morning Walk in a Cotswold Village Set in Stunning Countryside

So, today we are out and about walking in the Cotswold village of Bagendon which is located in the county of Gloucestershire, England. The village is situated about 4 miles north of Cirencester. According to the 2011 census the village had a decreased population of 239 as in the 2001 census there was a population of 265.

The parish church which is Church of England is dedicated to St. Margaret and is a Grade I listed building. Originally built during the Norman era other parts of the church date back to 1460.

The novelist Hilda Gregg was born in Bagendon in 1868.

This video may seem dark in the first 10 -15 minutes, this is because filming commenced at first light. As the walk progresses the footage becomes lighter. Also, you may notice the camera skimming along the road, this was to give a sense of how small wildlife sees the world.

There are no hidden OAAW logos for you to find in this video.

Another great walk. As I followed you along I was occasionally struck by the similarity of shots with another favourite series of mine: “Escape to The Country.” You pause briefly at 37.48 in, as one building catches your eye, and I almost hear the host from “Escape to The Country” triumphantly call out “Well, here’s property number one! A classic barn conversion set in 3 1/2 acres.”

Bagendon is very extensive!!.
Several large properties like in the old days!!
The church is really old and beautiful.
At the entrance to the cemetery, there is a very pretty lantern!!.
Lots of little woods everywhere and a very pretty little road through those woods.
