In this video, Daniel explains what the Bible says about fearing God. In 2 Timothy 1:7, the Bible says we did not receive a spirit of fear, but in Psalm 33:8 we also read 'Let the whole earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.'
The word Awe is defined as a feeling of reverential respect mixed with fear or wonder. So, should Christians fear God in the sense of expecting punishment?, or should we stand in awe of Him for the mercy He shows us every day. To fear God means that we need to take God seriously and believe that He will perform what He said He will in His Word. Fearing God is also associated with obeying God and keeping His Ten Commandments.

I recently came back to faith and since that time the spirit of darkness has been in full force to try and discourage me to say the least.
Everyone who is a true Christian need to claim the promises of God daily and seek him through prayer and reading the Bible. God is all holy, powerful, just, righteous, and love. It’s not easy to be a true Christian! A daily battle! We must remember that God does love us and will carry us through life’s ups and downs if we believe him wholeheartedly and trust his promises!
