I would recommend continuing with Anne of Green Gables. The entire series is amazing and delightful!

Molly the maid is just the most loveable character I've encountered in a long time 😭

I recently finished reading Jennifer Hillier’s new book Things We Do In the Dark and I really annoyed her writing style. I know I want to pick up her back list! I’ll start with Jar of Hearts

I feel like I say this everytime you bring up Kristin Hannah but I need to get to more. I have read the Great Alone, which one would you recommend next?? I am tempted by the one that made you saddest just cause I love good best friend relationship studies

The Love Hypothesis is not normally my go-to genre, but I read it and enjoyed it a lot. It was a great change of pace, truly a fun read. I've read a ton of Harlan Coben books and have enjoyed them.

Really happy for you that you have found so many new favourites already this year!
A lot of these are high up on my list of faves as well, so it's great to hear that you enjoyed them so much as well!!

My favourites of the year so far are Legacy of the Brightwash by Krystle Matar (self-pub), The Dandelion Dynasty by Ken Liu, The Nevermoor series by Jessica Townsend, Amari and the Nightbrothers by B.B. Alston, You Made a Fool of Death with Your Beauty by Akwaeke Emezi, Betty by Tiffany McDaniel and Of Darkness and Light + The Exile by Ryan Cahill (self-pub).
Here's to hoping we both find many more new faves in the second half of the year! Happy reading 🥰

It looks like you've been having an amazing reading year so far! For a while, it felt like enjoying Dead Silence was an unpopular take, so I'm glad to hear you liked it too lol! 😅

Dead Silence was a new favorite of mine, I can't wait to check out more by the author in the future! The Vanishing Half was outstanding as well! It looks like your reading year has been great this far!

Ha! I have "Dead Silence" and "Book of Cold Cases" in front of me! And I do appreciate your point about either connecting or not connecting to the character Molly in "The Maid". Sadly, I did not. Hope you're enjoying your summer! Cheers!
