The weird thing is, in a past review of this same study he said the number 1 factor for increased all cause mortality was not eating enough fruit. Is this a different claim
Or update to the study or am
I missing something? 🤗

Loved the information. I do need to work on the whole grain area. My only complaint is (and it's probably not you) that the Doctor can be very hard to understand, either by volume or clarity.

Recently bought an Instant Pot so I can pressure cook beans. Add an onion and a few spices and the beans are so delicious, way better than store bought canned beans. A cup of dried beans makes enough beans for several meals for two people. Yum

👍 Whole food plant based for the environment and health; vegan for the victims!

Sorry, I have to down a soda first thing in the morning just to be able to walk my dogs and face the cruel world.

While I don't drink any type of soda, I do eat a lot of meat. Also need to consume a lot more Legumes than my usual intake. Thank you for reminding some of us in the states, just how poor our diet is lol. And what we can do, to improve. 🦾

Eating more whole rather than non whole grains might well be an improvement but I'm not sure grains are necessary or even particularly helpful to a diet. Similarly "eating less meat" invites all sorts of questions. Less than what (what is the baseline they are taking) and what sort of meat are they talking about (processed or non processed). I'd say that eating good quality unprocessed meat isn't unhealthy and is actually healthy. So despite not eating it myself I don't like to see such advice given. There can be all sorts of agendas or bad science attached to this sort of stuff (and no I can't be bothered to read the study. I look and listen and experience around me). I advise people to think and learn for themselves, without bias, and not just rely on these things
