💲 NEED FINANCIAL ADVICE? 💲
1) Google "fee-only financial adviser" or visit www.NAPFA.org (largest association of fee-only financial advisers). NOT an affiliate link
2) The first question to ask any financial adviser is, "Are you a fiduciary to me 100% of the time". Get the answer in writing
3) Please note that some people call themselves "fee-based". This is NOT the same as fee-only. Fee-only advisers have committed to being fiduciary to you 100% of the time.
4) Personally, I would only hire an adviser who is a fiduciary to me 100% of the time. This is not a suggestion on what you should do. Just sharing my personal preference.

⚠️ Azul's "Scammer" Warning ➡ PLEASE READ! ⚠️
Be careful of scammers. In the comments section, I will NEVER ask you to contact me, offer any investment products, recommend a stock broker, or anything similar. Some scam bot commenters 'ask' for investment help, and later, other comment bots reply with "how great X idea/investment/person is" in the replies. These are scam threads. Do not fall for them.

🚨 Azul's VIDEOS ARE NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE (Disclaimer) 🚨

The decisions on how to invest, when to retire, and other financial planning topics are some of the most important financial decisions you will make in your life. I urge you to seek professional financial advice as you make this decision. Ideally, from a financial adviser, AND a CPA AND an attorney. Having the perspective of all three professions will help you make the right decision for you and your family.

This information is being presented without consideration of the investment objectives, risk tolerance, or financial circumstances of any specific investor and may NOT be suitable for all investors.

This information is NOT intended to, and should NOT, form a primary basis for any investment decision that you may make. Always consult your own legal, tax, and/or investment advisor before making any investment/tax/estate/financial planning considerations or decisions.

Spoiler Alert: There are no "get rich" programs. Rather, just basic blocking & tackling and putting in time and care. Do your homework, choose wisely and (IMHO) work with experienced professionals who are fiduciary to you 100% of the time.

Great advice! I decided to live a healthier lifestyle in my 40’s and I’m almost 60 now. I am very active and I am on no prescription meds which my doctor tells me is very uncommon. They told me that older people are usually on one prescription per every 10 years they have been alive. Next month my wife and I are hiking the Canadian Rockies. We did Maine last year and Utah the year before.

I see so many retirees throwing money at their children hoping it will "help". All I see is children being dependent on their parents, and never learning to be self dependent.

I’m 55 from southeastern Ohio but worked overseas all my life. I have savings of $1, 000, 000 and I'm ready for retirement, only concerned about the soaring inflation. Is this enough to retire comfortably, or do I need some sort of money management?

At 59 I’ve picked up kayaking! It has been so good for my soul in addition to my body.

great list and I 100% agree. I finally learned, changed to put myself first both at work and at home. May sound harsh but I need to put my physical and mental health ahead of my boss and wife. I am and will be a much better husband if I am able to sustain my earnings and be around for years to come in prime physical health.

Number 3: Me and my buddies all turn 55 this year. We took a week and mountain bikes in Bentonville, Ar. Wouldn't have missed it for anything...the hardest part was going back to work the next week. Number 3....make it happen (within reason). 😊

I’m 49, just retired a couple weeks ago. Debt free (house also paid off) + military pension + 7 fig net worth. Been watching your channel for a while now. Thanks for convincing me how important my future 50s, 60s and 70s will be.

BTW, never inherited a dollar from anyone. I’m completely self made. Both parents died broke and in their late 50s early 60s.

I’m putting my kids through college. Have two through and graduate with no loans. 3rd kid is starting this fall. I’m financially pretty secure, but having kids self sufficient and able to support themselves is a great thing.

I’m still able to save quite a bit into my 401k and go on 2 or 3 vacations per year. In fact, just got back from Greece.

Life is all about balance…Balancing finances, family, friends, work.

I do not have a FA…. Not sure I’ll need one if I’m pretty diversified in my investments. Just question if fee is worth it.
