As an Indian, I can relate very much to the 'Talk back' punishment(which even grown ups face from their parents their whole life).
The worst part is if they are scolding you and you say something, you get this 'Are you talking back to me? How dare you?' treatment but if you remain silent they will give you 'Why are you standing there like a fool? Are you deaf? Are you mute? Can't you have enough respect as to reply when you are asked?' treatment.
It feels funny to watch on video but in real life it sucks and feels terrible.
