The first time my husband asked “Do you have a system with these piles of clothes on the floor? Or can we pick them up?” After my diagnosis, I knew he was the one for me

I just spend 3 hours cleaning my apartment; I forget to eat when I'm hyperfocused. ADHD is wild

I'm the one with ADHD and I'm the one that tells my husband where his keys are when he can't find them...

When I’m in a doom scrolling rut or I can’t get out of bed, I call or text my husband downstairs that I need help. He comes up, and just him being there gives me the strength to go on with my day. His hugs help a lot, too. ❤ In turn, I remind him to eat, and make meals/snacks for him so he doesn’t subsist on easy to reach junk foods.

A good marriage is about balancing each other out, blessing each other with your strengths, and compensating for one another's weaknesses. ❤

Meanwhile, we both have ADHD and we have 4 moods:

- I can't do shit, he's hyperfixated
- he can't do shit, I'm hyperfixated
- we're both doing nothing all day
- we're both hyperfixated LET'S

I’m ADHD and I’m actually the human calendar/events reminder in my home.

My mom is NT, but I’m so used to forgetting thing/knowing I’m gonna forget something that I take METICULOUS, _PAIN-STAKINGLY_ detailed notes of our combined calendar events for school, work, and my younger siblings (both still in elementary school)

My calendar is color coded with my shifts at work. I take a picture of it each month so I know what my days and hours are on my phone.

But she reminds me to do stuff like sleep, eat, take a tylenol on my period, or work XYZ into our grocery budget and stuff 😂

To be understood is a luxury. Looks like you're in a good place.

I always feel so bad—like I’m a burden—lwhen I forget the things and others do them for me though how do you communicate that so it’s positive instead???

My friends did this to me and I thanked them: scheduled a dinner party to 6pm "so we can catch sunset", I showed up at 7pm, to which they were so happy :) ( every adhd short blows my mind because of how accurate it is )

My last boyfriend was not just the opposite, but he started to shame me for my messy places, my lack of time perception and pretty much everything after a few months in the relationship. Thankfully I ditched his ass as soon as he started, and if you have a situation like this, do the same, the person doesn't love you.

So i wake up at 2:30 am to go to work and my bf always does his laundry late on Sunday around 6ish. For whatever reason, one morning before I left for work, I went to the laundry room and checked the dryer. It was empty. So I then checked the washer and his work clothes are still in there. I put them in the dryer for him and the first thing he told me when he came home was that he woke up in a panic and realizes he didn't put his clothes in the dryer but then saw them in there and was like "THANK YOU!" 😂

This man is a blessing for the whole world. As are you for sharing relatable content so a 40 yr old woman like myself who was diagnosed so late in life can not feel so out of place

The one with the wrong time is so true. I don't have ADHD (my therapist says I don't, anyway) because even when I have months to do stuff, I will procrastinate it until the last day and on the smaller scale too. It would help so much, If everyone would just tell me to do stuff in half of the actual time, it would be done nicely. Setting sooner time for myself doesn't work, I've tried. If I know tere is more time, imma use that time and nothing is gonna stop me

My bf knows and everytime we go out he prepares for me everything jacket, bag, shoes and even phone if he's able to find it... I'm almost in tears as he does this for many other chorse I struggle to do linear😭❤️ I also try my best to repay ofc but the sensitivity he has it can change your day!

Edit: in case someone wonders is not that I cannot do these things is that I perceive time and struggle doing different small task in a row and tend to wonder around losing so much time😅
