Why don't people travel to China? If you're not visiting China, you're missing out on Asia's best natural wonders. After 12 years living in Asia, this is my most recommended country to visit on this continent.

My parents (from Nevada) visited China in 1989 and at one point the tour guide had all the Americans walking down a street in a small town, essentially becoming a parade. All the Chinese children watching pointed at the Americans and happily shouted out all the American names that they knew. "Texas!" "New York!" "Cowboy!" "Chicago Bulls!" My dad said the Americans just smiled and waved.

I got the same thing in Japan. A small child in Lawsons asked me ‘how did you get here? alien.’ I replied in Japanese that I flew here in a spaceship 😂 His dad looked mortified that i could speak Japanese and understood everything!

lol chinese here, she had the point!!! I felt you gal, this happened to me when I was travelling in Iran. People came to me talking Chinese with me, invited me over for food, accompanied me for tours, asked me for photos together. it's a beautiful country, but they had not many foreign tourists, not yet.

My family visited China, and found everywhere they went to be amazing. However, it was a bit overwhelming to have locals crowding around us because our toddler was very blond and very pale skinned at the time. People were fascinated and were only trying to be friendly

Vietnamese can be super loud. In Southern California Chinese were on their phones loudly, and 3 Vietnamese men shouting to each other

I have been to the nice areas and the out of the way areas and small villages with no roads. Same as anywhere else in the world, there are good and not so good places wherever you live. Saying that, there are cities in the UK and US you would not want to visit at all.

If you DO find toilets in China, be sure to look for the toillet paper dispenser OUTSIDE the cubicle and take some in with you.
Found this out the hard way at Beijing Airport!

Also, toilet paper is not flushed, it's generally deposited in a bin!

The Stone Forest is pretty awesome. The lack of confortable toilets, mouthy kids and shouting aunties is far less awesome. But.. Stone Forest is a real natural wonder!
