[OLD] How to Install PS3HEN on Any HAN PS3 on Firmware 4.84! | Homebrew Enabler for HAN

PS3Xploit returns yet again with another legendary breakthrough in the form of HEN, short for Homebrew Enabler! PS3HEN works on ANY model of PS3 as long as you have already installed 4.84 HFW and HAN on it. Having HAN installed on 4.84 HFW is REQUIRED to continue with this tutorial! This guide will walk you through the steps of obtaining the required files needed for HEN, installing HEN, enabling HEN, as well as installing some real homebrew! This will also cover how to update HEN in the future, assuming you're using the offline HDD package, as well as resigning any homebrew which might not install the first time around.

This guide assumes you already have a console with 4.84 HAN installed and running on it, however I will have my guide linked lower in the description showing how to get set up with HAN on any model PS3. Remember this is not a CFW, however HEN does an excellent job helping to bridge the gap for people who want homebrew access without needing a CFW capable console!

For those who are looking at this right now there has been some updates to the website so you have to look at the new read me file it has short instructions on what to do from there. When you do is go on hen installer have the box unchecked for close browser and then scan sucessfully and install hen, once it installs sucessfully it will update the hen pkg automatically for you.

if you dont uncheck the box for close browser automatically the ps3 will freeze and you will have to boot up all over to do the same steps. follow instructions from new read me file carefully and close display whats new feature off in settings.

For people who want HEN on version 2.3.1: It’s super simple now, and no computer is needed, 1: Start up your ps3 which should be on a HFW. 2: Go on the internet browser and and load up PS3Xploit.com 3: Go to PS3HEN and click HEN Auto Installer. 4: it should download a pkg file. 5: press initialize HEN Installer (it might fail a couple of times but it will eventually work so don’t give up). 5: it should download a couple of items then reboot itself. 6: when it finishes rebooting, you should see under games, a picture of HEN and an egg. 6: click on it and let it run its thing (you should see a rotating green square). 7: when it finishes it should restart your console and when it boots back up you will be able to see the HEN logo and the egg on your right. 8: congratulations, you are now running HEN. Please feel free to reply to this if you have any errors and I will respond as quickly as I can, and of course don’t forget to sub to MrMario👍
